This is a lovely detail shot of a roping saddle owned by Tiffany Hoffman. Tiffany provided pics of a real saddle that she wanted shrunk down. That is real rawhide on the cantle. This saddle has a lot of tooling and special riggings.
Left and right sides of a fantastic dark brown Western Pleasure saddle owned by Ellen Derr, with Sulser silver plates.
This is a lovely natural color Western set with
full floral tooling. It has some silver, but not
so much that it couldn't be used in classes other
than WP and Trail. Every piece of leather is
carefully edged in black, which is one of those
little things that you might not notice right
away, but makes all the difference in the world.
Instead of leather reins, I made braided cotton
reins for this set. These drape a bit better
than leather (although my leather reins do drape
quite well because I work hard to ensure it) and
I also think they are very attractive. You might
also be able to see the snaps on the bit ends of
the reins which serve to make the reins drape
better and removable. I used both Sulser and Rio
Rondo hardware on this set, and I'm absolutely
tickled with how it turned out. This set
(including saddle, bridle and breastcollar) was a
100% donation to the River Valley Live model
horse show held September 2004, and is now owned by Becky Moore. Thanks for your purchase Becky, good luck!
This is the bridle that matches the saddle above.
This is a fantastic LSQ roping saddle set owned by April Hardin. The matching bridle is pictured below.
In this photo you can see the buckle on the rein that works to adjust the reins. Also note the correct futurity knot in the browband to pretty it up a little. (The model pictured is Karen Cassavant's "Terminator" resin painted by Kirsten Wellman.)

Here is the other side of the bridle and tiedown so you can see the leather keepers on all the straps. Also notice the padding on the noseband of the tiedown for that extra touch of realism.
This is a tooled barrel saddle with roughout jockeys and fenders and a purple seat, braided faux rawhide horn w/silver cap, matching cantle plate, Sulser stirrups, and a one-ear bridle with Rio Rondo bit and round-braided reins. Owned by Bev Manderfeld.
This is a Western Pleasure set owned by Kirsten Wellman. It features full floral tooling and plenty of Rio Rondo silver. It has earned multiple ribbons and NAN cards in very limited showing. Saddle tan in color.
This is an exquisite reining saddle made for Tiffany Hoffman. Among its many details are delicate "horse hair" tassles.
Classic size barrel set owned by Suzanne Feld, a
consistent winner made to order in the owner's
stable colors.
Classic size barrel set owned by Janet Vernon was
a regular winner for me and is continuing to win
for it's new owner. There is nothing I enjoy
working on more than a barrel set. :-)
This is Tiffany Hoffman's roping saddle again (pictured at the top of the page) winning blues under both judges at River Valley Live 2004. (Model and steer by Kirsten Wellman.)
This is a medium/small natural colored Traditional saddle and bridle set. This set NAN qualified at GLC in March 2004, as well as earning many other ribbons and NAN cards. (Owned by artist)
