This is the Lakeshore china Arabian "Status Symbol" originally sculpted by Ed Gonzales. I have cold-painted this piece (not custom glazed) to a lovely golden palomino with chrome. He was, of course, carefully prepped and primed before painting. I painted him with a combination of airbrushed acrylics, pastels, and pencils. He sports carefully shaded and glossed hooves, painted chestnuts, glossed tri-eyes, delicate pinking on the back of his pasterns with socks, mapped markings, etc.
