The fabulous flying fillies!

This is Ipi Tombe, a (2006 NAN Top Ten! Whoohoo!) portrait of the real mare on Kitty Cantrell's "Romance" resin. Ipi Tombe is one of those rare fillies who could beat all comers, male or female, while giving away weight, and in record time. She is one in a million and my all-time favorite racehorse. (Oct. 2003) (Photo below by Team Valor)

This is the amazing filly Rachel Alexandra.
This is the undefeated Zenyatta.

This is Makybe Diva, a modern Aussie champ. She is the only horse in history to win the test of champions, the 2-mile Melbourne Cup, a stunning three times. She's also the only mare to have won the race more than once. Collection of the artist. (July 2006)

Another portrait of Makybe Diva---she is darker, but the late afternoon sun makes this model look brighter than she actually is. This model is a multi-champ in halter and performance. (Nov. 2005)
This is Rags to Riches painted on the classic Kelso mold. When she won the 2007 Belmont, Rags became the first filly in 102 years to do so and was the first to win the race at its present distance of 12 furlongs. Rags also won the 2007 Kentucky Oaks. (July 2007)
This is a portrait of the ill-fated filly Eight Belles who ran a gallant 2nd to Big Brown in the 2008 Kentucky Derby before breaking down as she galloped out on the far turn. This model was auctioned off to benefit ReRun, a TB rescue. (May 2008)
This is Candy Liddy's "Debit" resin painted as a portrait of the great turf mare Flawlessly. She was commissioned by Nicole Perrault-Sabel. (Aug 2007)
This is Silverbulletday, a portrait of the 2-time Champion Filly on the Touch of Class mold. Her saddle was made by Krista Wasco, her saddle pad was made by Aimee Kelly, and he bridle was made by Jenn Buxton . She is a commission for Tom Nagel of OH. (Nov. 2005)

Another shot of Silverbulletday without her tack.

This is Go For Wand, the ill-fated champion filly who broke down in the 1990 BC Distaff. She was a commission for Nicole Perrault-Sabel. (Dec. 2006)

This is Patchen Beauty, the lovely extreme sabino mare bred and owned by Patchen Wilkes Farm. This model is owned by Nicole Perrault of WI. (June 2006)

This is the Peter Stone TB CM painted as a portrait of the great mare Azeri for Jolene Danner of MN. Azeri was named Champion Older Mare in 2002, 2003, and 2004, and Horse of the Year in 2002. (Sept. 2004) (Photo by Cindy Pierson Dulay)

Another portrait of Azeri---this one is mine. The photo is awful, and the model needs updating, so I'll have a new photo before too long. (This is the Classic Kelso mold.) (Dec. 2002)

This is Six Perfections, Breyer's "Strapless" model repainted as a portrait of the winner of the 2003 Breeders Cup Mile. Six Perfections was named Champion 2 year-old filly and Champion 3 YO filly in France in 2002 and 2003 respectively. She is a rare, true black TB. (Oct. 2003)

This is Xtra Heat, the champion sprinting mare, done on the classic Ginger mold. She was a custom order for Lisa Sammons of GA. (Dec. 2004)
This is a portrait of Xtra Heat's 2005 Storm Cat colt. He was a commission for Lisa Sammons of GA. (I realize he is not a flying filly, but as he has not been weaned, I thought it best to include him on the page with his mom.) (Dec. 2005)
This is a portrait of Ruffian painted on the SM TB model. She is owned by photographer Barbara Livingston of NY. (Nov. 2002)

This is another portrait of Ruffian, this one a CM on the Classic Kelso mold. She was sold on ebay to benefit the Exceller Fund for $104.02. (Mar. 2003)
