Ipi Tombe Memorabilia

In November 2008, Ipi particpated in the Moneigh program to benefit ReRun, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding homes for ex-racehorses. Her painting sold for $317 and happily hangs on my living room wall!

In May 2009, Ipi painted another Moneigh. This one sold for $347, again to benefit ReRun.

My scrapbook devoted to Ipi Tombe. I was not a Blood-Horse subscriber when she was racing, so I just have printouts whenever she made the news (from BH and any other site that mentioned her). I have managed to find the BH issue that included an article about Ipi's Churchill start, but I am looking for any others that mention her, especially the 2003 Dubai World Cup issue.

Also pictured is a stunning photo by Barbara Livingston, a lock of Ipi's mane (tied in green and red ribbon, of course), a program from the 2003 Dubai World Cup (now signed by Kevin Shea!), and a DVD made available to prospective buyers when Ipi was sold in 2004.

I am always looking for Ipi memorabilia, particularly anything from Zimbabwe or South Africa (race programs, newspaper clippings, race footage, etc). Please drop me a line if you have something you think might interest me. :-)

I am a model horse artist in my free time, and this is a portrait I painted of Ipi. The model is a resin sculpted by Kitty Cantrell.
